Rescue Dogs

Our rescue group, Weim Rescue of Arizona, appreciates your considering a rescue! We have many dogs that come thru rescue for one reason or another, people moving, military enlistment, changes in family dynamics that necessitate the finding of a better home for the family pet. There are many reasons and we mainly strive to help the dogs find a home where they are loved and cared for as they deserve to be. Weimaraners are a wonderful breed, very loving and devoted, but they are a relatively high energy dog and thrive on being close to their family, one of the reasons they have been nicknamed the "Velcro dogs"! If you are new to the breed, might I suggest visiting the site http://www.weimclubamerica.org/ and taking the test "Is a Weimaraner right for you?", there is also a wealth of information concerning the breed at this sight.

Please bookmark our rescue site and return often, the content will be changing as we seem to have a constant flow of dogs into rescue. Feel free to contact me (Brian Lamb), at 623-249-3656 or email at blamb11@cox.net to discuss any questions you might have or find out more info on available dogs. I also have a list of people that are interested in adopting, so if you'd like to be put on that list, I will notify you of any updates to the available dogs.

Click Here to download an Adoption Application! If you would like to contribute to the Rescue group, you can volunteer to help with fostering, transporting, doing home checks and any number of things. Financial support is always welcome, dogs are coming faster each day, we are faced with vet bills, kennel fees, and medicine in ever increasing amounts. If you would like to donate, make your check payable to "Weimaraner Rescue of Arizona" and send it to 5015 W. Saddlehorn Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85083. Also, do to mounting costs and expenses, there will be a $100 adoption fee on any of the dogs listed.

More resources for available weims can be found at the Norcal site.
I work with this organization and can help with transport of dogs from them to Arizona.

"Scout and Captain"

Two male brothers, neutered, five years old, microchipped, current on shots and healthy (maybe a bit overweight from the pictures). They are both housebroken, love to play fetch, do not jump or dig, they love kids (7 toddlers, grandkids in the house), and are even great with livestock... the chickens peck around them and they pay them no mind. Current owners lost their house and can't keep them where they will be living. These are house dogs, used to being part of the family and would love a family to be with, and they do need to stay together. Located in the east valley, if you are interested, emal blamb11@cox.net.
